Who publishes SCC Air Quality
SCC Air Quality / the Air Quality England Observatory is an SCC Nexus evidence observatory. SCC Nexus is the parent identity for the project's research infrastructure, engineering, publication, correction and collaboration routes.
The working principle is Search · Corroborate · Communicate: find relevant evidence, test it against independent or authoritative context where possible, and publish conclusions with their limitations and provenance.
What the observatory is for
SCC Air Quality provides England-wide descriptive air-quality evidence using official monitoring as the primary measurement foundation, with transparent acquisition, quality checks, provenance, completeness reporting and reproducible review outputs.
It is designed for public-interest scrutiny, research discussion and evidence review. It is not a substitute for official regulatory reporting, clinical or personal health advice, or a source-attribution determination.
Independence and authority
The SCC Nexus relationship is an ownership and publishing statement. It is not scientific endorsement, accreditation, peer review, regulatory approval or institutional sponsorship.
SCC Air Quality does not present itself as a government body, regulator, university, health service or certified laboratory.
Funding and conflicts
No external institutional sponsor or funder is asserted by the current governed SCC Air Quality project metadata. If funding, sponsorship or a material conflict of interest is introduced, the public disclosure should be updated and versioned with the release.
How claims are controlled
Public releases are built through deterministic scientific and publication gates. The site distinguishes measurements from interpretation and explicitly limits unsupported claims about causation, source contribution, health effects and legal compliance.
